Are you sure that this problem still persists? There are 3 versions of the LinuxSampler VST plugin DLL bundled with the Windows installer: a 64 bit VST, a 32 bit non-SSE VST and a 32bit SSE VST. I just extracted them from the latest installer and all 3 VSTs depend on liblinuxsampler-4.dll. Could it be possible that you were using a different VST installation path previouisly vs. now when you executed the installer? Because obviously the Windows installer will only replace an old VST plugin within the selected target VST directory. It will not search the entire system for other VST directories and replace it there as well.
