You might want to give a try to ls16, an alternate DSSI LinuxSampler adapter. Perhaps it will suit your workflow better: https://sourceforge.net/p/ls16/wiki/Home/ However, there is no workaround for Rosegarden's omni MIDI routing model. Perhaps have a look at QTractor or MusE?
