I was not aware about that GSt crash before. Any suspicion about the cause of 
that GSt crash?

Ivan, you could check your assumption and replace the defines for our own 
chunk names, namely LIST_TYPE_3LS and LIST_TYPE_RTIS in src/gig.h by something 
else.

Since Andreas assumes the crash to be a different issue. You might also just 
copy any original GSt .gig file from some commercial source and just replace 
some gain value with gigedit there, since that would mean less changes to the 
gig file than creating one from scratch.
