This performance issue of the SFZ engine has been reported before: https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxsampler/mailman/linuxsampler-devel/?viewmonth=202004 As I suggested there, this should be profiled such that the relevant heavy code section is identified. The previous reporter apparently lost attraction to continue profiling this issue.
