If not, you might want to check with Mark Brown to see if you need any additional approval since your OSSC proposal did not mention that this action would likely result in you being given commit rights.
Also . . . my 2 cents . . . I can see value in pushing this plugin upstream now since maybe you'd get some community help to flesh out the functionality.
