The discussion in the issue ended on saying that remote perf is supported for
either remote or synchronized projects.
In our case, more preferred workflow is to have all the sources on a host
system, the same system where Eclipse runs,
and only copy executables to remote system for execution. It appears such use
case is not presently supported for remote
perf.
I wonder whether it's not supported because it's not a priority for LinuxTools
developers, or there are some fundamental
design objections to this workflow?
