Let's say you have a parser for your trace with 3 fields per event. Your events will be Timestamp cache hits, cache accesses. You could actually make a fourth field which would be %hits by adding another field. After that, I would suggest looking at the xml charting, it was merged yesterday, and I have not yet seen it in action, but I will look into it and get back to you asap.
