Yeah, I assumed everyone would know what I meant, buy I think I need to
be more specific.

I am planning to offer IT services to small business, and I know that when I go
and do so, many people are going to say that their computers are running slow,
so
what I need to do first is to research and find what are the typical and most
likely
kinds of problems that are causing computers slow down.

What I am going to do specifically is I to do an inventory of small business
IT systems, and find out what their challenges, difficulties, goals and needs
are. I am going to offer a free assessment and offer solutions according to
their needs.

When I come across small businesses that say that their computers are running
slow
I will need to do is to be ready with a knowledge of typical causes of computer
slow
down and respective solutions. Also I know I will run into printer, computer
network
problems. Therefore, I am asking if anyone knows good websites for M$
performance.

Needless, to say, I will not be an open source evangelist, but I will be
recommending
OS whenever it appropriately satisfies business needs.

Thanks very much for all the input that has already been offered. I will
probably not be
doing any scanning over the internet as I know that it would not be secure. In
light of
what I am doing, if there are any additional sources of info that would apply
to my end,
they would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, linux or any OS applies, as I may run into them in my discourse.

Thanks
Paul
