Related to my work, I receive daily e-mails of newsletters, blog feeds, etc. on GIS-related subjects. One of the news stories today was a pointer to this:
2008 Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) conference - http://conference.osgeo.org/index.php/foss4g/2008 It's a little far for me to travel, since I have to be back here in the US on the 4th and 5th, but I thought others might be interested in a conference that intersects "GIS" and "Open Source" What would be really interesting is if there is one of those conferences in California someday.
