So at the Desktop Linux Summit 2005, The CEO of mp3tunes.com, creator
of MP3.com, was pushing the idea of mp3tunes.com as a way to store
your music online. Then in 2008, mp3tunes.com started charging,
contrary to the CEO's promise that they would never charge and memory
is only getting cheaper. After that I decided to do things myself.

Subsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous
access to your music. Use it to share your music with friends, or to
listen to your own music while at work. You can stream to multiple
players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and
another in your living room.

Might be good, still trying it out.
