You can build a simple app to do this with CodeIgniter, CakePHP or Symfony.
They are great frameworks. But you might also want to look into some type of
document management system or content management system like Alfresco. I don't
think they have an rss feed of items added to the repo. but with Alfresco, you
can upload and download items using webdav.

Subject: [LinuxUsers] PHP framework for book sharing?

Several coworkers and I have scattered amongst us all sorts of resources
related to the mesh stuff we do (RADIUS, networking, RF, antennas,
microwave, R&S, Linux, etc), and most of these resources are in the form
of PDF or Word docs.

Is there a PHP framework that someone can recommend that we could drop
on a box that would allow us to login and easily share these resources
with each other?

(Ideally, something like this would have an RSS feed so that we could
get updates when a coworker uploads something.)
