No, I'll try it, and I'll type 'y' to go ahead, since that's what I want. Thanks for this; if I hadn't known this I wouldn't have tried it after failing to find it in Synaptic. I'm betting that Ubuntu is aiming at people who don't ask for anything special; otherwise why would they not offer kde-desktop in their Synaptic setup?
