The title of this thread is extremely inaccurate. It is as inaccurate
as Al Gore saying that man's influence on Global warming is definite.
The professor of the paper in question, Lindzen, is respected in
climatology. If the article is accurate, it means that carbon dioxide
plays a minimal role in global warming, which has been shown in other
studies that illustrate this, in particular, that temperature drives
carbon levels, not the other way around. This does not mean that A)
Global warming is not occurring nor B) man is not an influence on
Global warming.

The fact is, due to the lack of weather data, scientist are not able
to determine if man is the cause of the current rise in temperatures.
There is still a lot research being done to determine what is causing
the temperature rise. That Al Gore says that Global warming is due to
man in a factual manner annoys most scientist studying the issue
because the facts are not in. Many scientist suspect that mankind is
the cause for scientific reasons. No one has proved it yet. Some
scientist say that man is the cause because they believe it is the
only way most people will take pollution and/or global warming
seriously. Regardless of what the cause is, current models show that
if the earth's temperature go past a certain critical point, no action
by man will be enough to cool things down and temperature will
continue to increase killing much of the life on the planet.

Bottom line, temperature are increasing and the cause is still
scientifically unknown, however, if it keeps going up, we could all be
screwed.
