One of my clients went to Haiti to visit family on Monday, and now he's stuck there. Not that he'd want to abandon his family, even if he could. He writes (in two separate email): "My family and I are alive and unhurt." and "We're leaving now for a safer area so you may not hear from me for a few days," the latter of which is a bit scary in it's implication. He highly recommends donations to Doctors without Borders; he and his Haitian family feel they'll be most apt to do the most good.
