I'd like some suggestions from anyone, please...

First ... do NOT click on the link below unless after reading my entire email
you're satisfied that it's safe for you to do so; you've been warned.

I got an email from someone I hadn't heard from in over a year, and my
instinct got the best of me; I clicked on the link which was the only contents
of the email.

The link was/is: http://teamtheme.in/home/index.php

It immediately redirected to a site which no longer exists.

Is it possible I've infected my computer? I'd think so, but I don't study all
the possible methods of attack through Mozilla.

So my question is what should I do to clean this up?

These are a few things I'm thinking of:

1) using apt-get remove and reinstall firefox. I tried this, but my
bookmarks, history, etc., are still there so I don't know what else might
still be installed, that's bad for me.

2) building an entirely new user for day-to-day work. Copy over ONLY the text
and other known good files I need for day-to-day work. Start over with
Firefox, etc. (I'd have to copy over my email store, though.)

3) back up my userspace, but NOT anything firefox. Reinstall the entire OS.

Any suggestions? What should I delete to get rid of any possible firefox
problems? Anything else I should consider?

I want to be up and running again some time tomorrow; I'll appreciate your
input.

Thanks.

Jeff
