I have the perfect laptop for you. Old toshiba pentium 75 or something like
that. The serial port on that is so real and manly that it makes Chuck
Norris cringe in fear. Ping me if you're interested.

Hello fellow LUGers,

Would anyone here perchance have an old laptop (the older/crappier, the
better) with a real serial port which they would be willing to sell or
donate to my open source SDSL project?

In connection with my current project of bringing up a Nokia D50 DSLAM
in my SDSL test lab, I need to run a certain very evil piece of software
that runs under a very evil OS. So evil that it needs to be completely
and totally isolated from the rest of my network and computing
environment, hence I want to run it on its own dedicated laptop that
does nothing else.

The serial port is the key thing it needs: I don't want to take my
chances of trying to get that horrible SW to work with a USB-to-serial
adapter. In all other ways the laptop can be as decrepit as possible:
slow, tiny RAM, tiny HD, etc. Does NOT need to have Ethernet as I will
never connect it to my network, and most certainly doesn't need to have
WiFi or any other modern amenities.

If someone can help me out with such a thing, I would be very grateful.
