Frankly, I'd be less worried about silencing political opponents or
critics of the government, and more about crony capitalism: a bigger
corporation slapping around a smaller competitor or opponent by
leveraging greater access to the government ($$$) to get their
competitor or any organization that creates a problem shut down.

IMO, this sort of thing creates real harm and can and does happen a
lot more than government efforts to restrain criticism, at least in
this country.
