It was. KDE still isn't working for me. Gnome is changing. I've tested kontact/kmail on mint/gnome and it appears to work well. Will mint jump to a new version of gnome. Probably they'll just follow unbuntu, as they have in the past, but frankly I like their interface and I like what works, and if they're willing to put in the effort to stay similar to what they are now, they've got me.
