My netbook is a eeepc 1005ha. Single core HyperThreaded Atom N270. Runs at 1.6ghz. Its a great little tank of a laptop to carry around. Not slow by any means. Currently running Gentoo with Gnome(counting the days to emerge gnome 3x). Intel i915 graphics does a good enough job too.
The only negative is the 1024x600 screens. Things like framebuffer splash screens and other dress up items fail out of the box due to the x600 resolution. its all Fixable, but it takes more time, and if you're using pre-made graphics sometime can't find anything in that resolution.
