I know for a while there was like an official mirror for the kernel on Github, 
but this is big. The Linux kernel is moving to Github

Github has a bug report system and a pull request system. Right now if you have 
a patch, you have to email the ML or the maintainer of the subsystem your 
working on. Will this workflow change now with Github?

A long time ago, Bitbucket was competition for Github, specially when Atlassian 
first purchased the Bitbucket. But now Bitbucket has fallen farther behind. Why 
is this so? Is it because some consider Git is a better drcs than Hg, or 
something else?
