Well - so much for timezones. http://www.thedailyparker.com/PermaLink,guid,c5f28bae-4b9c-41ea-b7b7-8891ad63c938.aspx
Summary: the 'tzinfo' files are no longer online, and most of our linux/unix systems (and things like Java, Oracle, etc.) rely on these files for their date functionality. They are also sometimes known as the "Olson ID's" These facts are "intellectual property" now? Can the fact that Daylight Savings definitions changed between 1919 and 1920 be copyrighted? I guess it's time for the whole world to just start using UTC globally and no longer keep shifting hour-by-timezones. I personally would be fine with waking up at 15:00, getting to work by 17:00, etc... _______________________________________________ LinuxUsers mailing list LinuxUsers@socallinux.org http://socallinux.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxusers
