We did an online version of this with Mandrake back in 2002 with an
eMachines type company.  I bought one of those machines and until this
past weekend, it was the household dhcp, dns, and media server.  Not
bad for longevity I guess.  It's survived a few harddrive upgrades
with no issues.

We just moved and now I'm just using the wireless gateway to serve the
dhcp/dns.  I am thinking of reinstalling CentOS on the machine to make
it a wireless bridge for our (wired ethernet) print server and a
couple of workstations.  Haven't thought much about the media server
part.
