Question 1 none are correct. The correct answer to this issue is: Mount the root partition, edit the /etc/shadow file to remove the root password, reboot. Question 3 is way the hell out of date. All modern versions of Linux use CUPS so none of those commands are even close. Question 4 doesn't have the correct answer listed. The correct file is /etc/hosts none of the others listed are used to resolve host names. I know this for a fact having set up several Linux servers over the years. (There is no file called hosts.conf, there is one called host.conf but that is for local configuration only) Question 9 due to changes in Xfree86 the correct answer is 16MB. Just try running it on 8 MB and see what happens. Question 18 failed to mention what type of file system was being used. This greatly impacts the number of characters one can use for a file name. Though most are 256 maximum there are a couple that will allow you to use more than that and though rarely used anymore there are some older ones which will only allow 16. My score according to them was: Correct answers: 17 out of 20 questions Percent correct: 85% But if I took this exam for a class or certification I would definitely argue it. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
