Hello all, I am brand new to the linux community and love to
experiment (how else do you learn right?) I would appreciate any
guidance that anyone can offer regarding my setup.

System: Dual Xeon (2x2.8Ghz) CPU system with Fedora Core 9 (which was
the distro of choice for me when it was released a while back).

What I am attempting to do is get the Fedora System up and running as
a PDC and I have one other system which dual boots between XP Pro and
BackTrack. I would like to Join the XP box to an internal domain
(named XDOM, my Fedora box is named Dv-Serv.XDOM). From what I have
been reading, I have to configure SAMBA and FEDORA Directory Server so
my XP box will be able to join/login to the domain. I had quite a lot
of fun getting the directory server up and running ( which I am quite
proud of myself for resolving the file permission problems by myself..
lol) I am in the process of configuring SAMBA and CUPS but am
running into the same newbie mistakes and hurdles (which I am sure
that a few months down the road, I will be proud of solving). The
one thing that I notice in many of the documents I am reading is that
in all instances, BIND is already setup/configured for the network and
the domain already exists. Is there a certain order in which I would
configure things on the server? If so, I know that I will be
struggling with the same issues (XP not being able to see the PDC
etc.)

I was wondering if there was a step by step for setting up a Fedora
Core Server for a small internal domain?

I apologize to everyone for such a stupid question.
