I use rhythmbox and it can jump music to an ipod great! also, there's a
program in the add/remove that is made just for it, i haven't ever used it
because i've never needed it but it's called hipo

also, if it's an ipod touch, linux can't use it yet (that i know of) because
the storage medium is called NAND memory. both the new touches and the
iphone have this. mac did this to keep it dependent on it's software and
platform.
