Yeah, if I were to redesign the Internet (or at least the email
system) I'd add a way to differentiate between mailing lists and
actual individuals.
Oh wait, there already is a way kind of... it's called a newsgroup.
But that's over the NNTP protocol which isn't very supported and so it
isn't very popular.
Oh well... life goes on!

However, in real life, so long as you're not using it to excess it
should be permissible. If you're unsure what "excess" is abide by the
