Hi people, My computer has a crappy Motorola SM56 modem which only works under Windows. Anyway, with the help of linmodems.org I have figured out how to get it working under Linux using smartlink drivers. But still, there is a little problem which causes much annoyance: the special file for the modem, /dev/slamr0 disappears after reboot and I have to re-create it with mknod to be able to connect. I have written a script that does this automatically, but anyway it sort of does not feel right - I think there must be a way to get thsi working without messing with any scripts and stuff. So please help me to find a workaround. Thanks for the help in advance.
