Roy,

The older ppc architecture is CHRP and they are supported by Debian and
even Windows NT 4 believe it or not. Yellow Dog, Fedora, SUSE, Mandrake,
Gentoo and Arch might support it but I know the first 4 did. The old IBM
RS/6000 is a CHRP system.

| One of my friends has some old Mac hardware that he is wanting to try
| Linux on. I told him that I could probably install Ubuntu for him,
| but my experience is primarily with picking up hardware by the piece
| and creating my own system. Is there anything I should watch out for
| when installing on a Mac system?
|
| Thanks.
