[all of this on my laptop install of ubuntu 9.04] So i went into system>pref>remote desktop and enabled it on my laptop and even set a pw for connection. Then i went to remote desktop viewer and found my own laptop... like connecting to myself. I was messing around and hit some options (or something) tab at the top and selected full screen. now everytime i run remote desktop viewer i get a full blank screen. I tried to get around it by running purge vinagre and then reinstalling it so that it would forget preferences but that didn't work. I found in the buntu documentation that f11 changes between full screen and not and i tried that too, but it didn't work. Now i'm trying to get it back out of fullscreen mode.
Basically, I just got a HDTV and a ps3. so I installed YDL on the ps3 and have it running on the hdtv. I wanted to consolidate the screens by using a remote desktop connection that way i might use either the ps3 to control the ubuntu laptop, or the laptop to control the ps3. If I can do this, I can utilize more processing power... blah. You know it would be cool. can anyone help me find an alternative application to connect the ps3 by remote desktop so that i can control both the laptop and ps3 at the same time with the same piece of hardware, or (the one I hope we can find) simply find a way to reset the settings of vinagre manually --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
