I'm planning to setup a mail server dedicated for outbound. I just need
some of your views. Here is my plan:

INTERNET <------ FRONT SERVER <--------------------> CORE MAIL
                               - user connect here
            - user account using Maildir
                            and send email using AUTH
                               - accessible in the Internet
         - only FRONT SERVER can connect
                               - no user account just SMTP
         - run by qmail/courier-imap

CORE MAIL already exist and I don't want to touch that. FRONT SERVER is
not yet built so I'm planning to use postfix. I'm new to postfix since
I'm more of a qmail guy. I want to use postfix instead of qmail. This is
my chance to study postfix so I'm good to go. Since I'm new to postfix,
I want to ask if postfix can

- send an email via smtp auth where the account would be verified on the
CORE MAIL?
- can postfix do this without installing even a single application on
the CORE MAIL?

If both of the answer on the above is YES, probably I can continue the
installation. As of the moment, I'm searching and studying if my plan
makes sense.

Thanks,

Nelson
