I'm migrating some work computers from Win to Lin. I've got Ubuntu 9 installed on a working box, and I need to migrate Outlook mail and addresses to the Linux machine. Evolution recommends using Thunderbird, and I've migrated between Windows machines Outlook to Thunderbird in the past. So that is what I did. Installed Tbird on the Win box, imported all the mail and addys. Nice and neat and tidy.
However, the Thunderbird site says to simply copy the old profile files into the new profile you've created on the new machine. I've done exactly as they recommended, and it does not work. I have the mail files, I have the addy files, but I can't get them somewhere to read them. I tried overwriting the existing profile. I tried copying only the mail files over. I tried copying the profile in separately. Mozilla suggests trying their profile manager - I can't find that. Suggestions, please!
