Both Grub and Lilo support x86 (which is to say i386, i486, i586,  
i686, ia32 and others of the 80806 lineage), x86_64 (which is also  
known as AMD64, or the 64-bit extension to the x86 architecture) as  
well as Intel's largely failed IA64 architecture.  They also support  
PowerPC (everything from Motorola to the Power5 on the newer IBM  
mainframe chips).
