This would probably be a question for a Windows forum - though I do vaguely 
recall hearing that in some instances the presence of GRUB can cause the 
Windows detection to go awry.  There should be a key press you can use to enter 
a recovery mode on the XP CD where you can perform steps to fix it.

actually ...i am not able to boot my windows..xp 2 cd....the cd is
being sensed by the computer...but the installation is not carried
further...after it appears saying  "setup is inspecting your computer
hardware" ..
but when i comes to linux ...then the dvd is being booted by it...
..
actually i want to add that ...when i installed linux on my pc...then
my mbr (master boot record )was not working to i shifted to the first
sector of the hard disk...

..if some one can help me out to install windows...xp
