I'm trying to track down a problem whereby a "yum update" will change the permissions/ownership on certain files/directories. In my case, / var/named. I have it owned by "named" -- a yum update will change ownership to "root" and it breaks things. I usually just manually change it back.
I figure there must be a config file somewhere that I've not found that I can make permanent changes to reflect this? This applies to RHEL 5.4. Thank you.
