Ok, the last question about configuring vi (I hope). I had put 'set showmatch' into the .vimrc and after a while decided that I didn't like the bracket highlighting feature. I took the 'set showmatch' out of the .vimrc, but vim is still highlighting matched brackets. If there is a way to turn this off I would greatly appreciate any help. Txs.
