Why are you trying to upgrade your BIOS? Is there some compelling
reason? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." That's some wise advice to
keep in mind.
I'm going to guess that your BIOS upgrade was made to be run under
MS-DOS, NOT Linux, because of the .bat and .exe files. You need to make
an MS/IBM-DOS startup disk (floppy) and put those BIOS upgrade files on
it. But........ before you do... READ CAREFULLY my warning below!!!!!!!!!!
*** IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!! ***
I suggest you review the instructions from the BIOS vendor. If you got
this BIOS update from a 3rd party, be very careful!! Be SURE they are
credible or you could be shooting yourself in the foot by installing
malicious code into your BIOS.
