-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Depending on how new you are to linux, I can make a few suggestions. First of all - Gentoo can be a PITA to install. I've lost wrestling matches with it. If you're pretty much a newb, I'd start with either Ubuntu 9.10 or Mint 8. They pretty much install on any hardware and there's minimal to no post-install config needed. Debian or Fedora would be a step beyond that - and between the Debian / Fedora level and Gentoo is Slackware, but I'd stay away from it as well. Just my humble $.02 worth.
