It took a long time of playing with man pages before I got used to the way they were written. I'm able to use them now and get the info from them I'm looking for, but it took a lot of hours of banging my coconut against the wall and hearing the hollow sound. I guess what I'm saying is I agree with you - and it's a pet-peeve of mine as well. Until somebody comes up with a better solution, it's something we're going to have to deal with.
