For some time now I've been having a peck of trouble making Samba work
in Ubuntu 9.10. My system would connect to the other computer in my
apartment either very slowly or not at all. But tonight I was
tinkering with network connectivity in the latest Boxee beta and it
worked flawlessly for some odd reason. So I went back to GNOME's
network shares window, tried to connect to my other computer from
there and it worked just as well. Is Boxee somehow able to act as a
'man in the middle' and direct traffic on Samba or something? Wacky
stuff!
