I've given up on trying to fix an issue that's plagued me for the last month. It's time to re-install. What I would like to know is - is there a way to list all of the packages I've installed using apt-get / aptitude following my initial install last time? I was thinking of doing 'dpkg -l > old_dpkg' before the reinstall and 'dpkg -l > new_dpkg' after the install and running 'diff' between the files. Is there a better way to do it?
