The problem is the pidgin-data package now conflicts with
pidgin-facebookchat. I had this happen last night. Basically you need to
to remove pidgin-facebookchat. (Reinstall any pidgin packagaes that may
also get tagged for removal after you do so.) The new pidgin-data has
the facebook chat in it now.
