I'm currently running Mint 10. First of all, here's the appropriate lines from lspci and lsusb:
<command line> <lspci> 00:09.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 07) </lspci> <lsusb> Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter </lsusb> </command line> Here are the issues: If I keep the USB headset unplugged, all is fine in the world of audio. If I use it and leave it plugged in after I'm done, eventually, all audio only on my account gets redirected through the headset; my wife's account doesn't seem to be affected. I have installed gnome-alsamixer - and there seems to be no way to redirect the system sound back through the sound card. I'm also having issues when I have the headset plugged in that the sound output from Skype seems to always be directed through the sound card with seemingly no way to re-direct it through the headset; my wife doesn't use Skype, so I don't know if her account is affected by this. One other possibly valuable piece if info is that I have PulseAudio installed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, -- <>< Scott Vargovich <>< ------------------------------------------ OpenPGP Key ID: F8F5DC7E ------------------------------------------ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
