So, after more time than we'd like to admin, we (the admins) have taken a look at the group, what's going on, and other such things.
== Nick Isn't Here == First, for those who might not be aware, our longtime founder, Nick Beradi, is no longer with us. He got busy in life and no longer had the time to devote to the group. Jeremiah and myself are now co-owners of the group. == List Rules Update == Google has removed the documents feature from Google Groups, so we lost our copy of the list rules. We have drafted a new set of list rules, which is available as a public Google Document (http://tinyurl.com/LUG-Rules). I have also uploaded it as a PDF file to my webserver for those who for whatever reason cannot access Google Documents (http://cdn.fsdev.net/List-Rules.pdf). While we do not anticipate many changes to the rules in the future, the Google Document is the authoritative source, while the PDF is not guaranteed to be updated with any regularity. == Scott Vargovich - New Admin == In addition, we are proud to announce the addition of Scott Vargovich as a new administrator. While we have been very blessed to not have too many issues with spam of late, the efforts of the administrator team in keeping a healthy and helpful atmosphere is greatly appreciated. It is our hope that we can continue to deliver a safe, fun, and helpful environment in which we can all receive (much needed) help while using GNU/Linux software. == In Conclusion == Moving forward, the future is bright. GNU/Linux software just keeps getting better. As we forge ahead into new technologies and integrating our data and software in exciting new ways, we look forward to keeping this community as a resource for those who wish to learn to utilize GNU/Linux to help make their life better. -- The Administrator Team Jeremiah Bess, Elder Miller, Kari Sue, Scott Vargovich -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
