It actually isn't frozen. If you CTL ALT DEL, then ENTER, ENTER, you can shut it down, which indicates that the environment is working.....Unity is where the problem is....
On start up, click your name and then at the bottom there are 3 options, once each for Language, Keyboard and interface.... select UBUNTU CLASSIC (NO EFFECTS) and you should be able to get in.....I like it this way anyway as it seems snappier since there is less desktop effects. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
