I'd say it's a pretty stellar article beyond the facts that he thinks filesystems used in Linux don't fragment and that there are no Linux viruses. If ufw was around I would never learn iptables but it's really a great entry to "fooling" with iptables. It's 98% Debian/Ubuntu specific but I'll surely share it with beginners being a Debian guy myself.
