Required Qualification and Experience
· Bachelor degree in Computer science or related discipline.
· Minimal 5-6 years experience in Solaris administration on different tiers of Sun Hardware
· Strong Solaris 8 & 9 Operating System experience
· System Administration in a Fiber SAN environment (preferably EMC - DMX/Symm, Clariion, Emulex or Qlogix HBAs, PowerPath)
· Strong Veritas Storage Foundations(Vxvm/VxFS etc), Shell and/or Perl scripting kno! wledge
· System tape backup technologies including: Veritas NetBackup, STK libraries, SDLT, LTO and Virtual tape drives
· Web Server knowledge (Apache/Iplanet), Samba, sendmail, NFS and NIS
· Good working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, NFS, DHCP, X-Windows, HTTP/HTML, DNS & Proxy Systems
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
· Innovative team player with strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
· 2+ years Linux experience
· 2+ years hands-on administration of Enterprise Class mult-domain servers (E6800/E15K/E25K.
· Solaris 10 knowledge including implementation and deployment of Dtrace
· Solaris Virtual Provisioning and Resource Management experience
· Proactive Monitoring using a third party framework such as: BMC PEM/Patrol, HP Openview, CA UniCenter)
· Backup and Disaster Recovery experience using Veritas NetBackup / Solaris Flash Archive
· Admini! stration of Weblogic or Websphere application tier software.
· Veritas or SUN Clustering hands-on experience
· hands-on experience with Self-Service ATMs and devices
