Dear All,
I want to give alternate port for sendmail.
OS: Redhat Linux AS3
Database: Oracle 9i
App: Lyris 9.0 ( Bulk maling software).
We have installed lyris software which uses 25 port . Now we want configure
sendmail on the same server. when i start the sendmail service it showing that
service started.
but when i am shut down the service it is giving the following message:
service sendmail stopped [OK]
service sm-client stopped [FAILED]
when i saw in maillog I found the following error:
Jul 24 17:08:31 respons-e sendmail[20865]: daemon MTA: problem creating SMTP
socket
Jul 24 17:08:36 respons-e sendmail[20865]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root):
opendaemonsocket: daemon MTA: cannot bind: Address already in use
Also i have add the following lines in the sendmail.mc file:
define(`RELAY_MAILER_ARGS', `TCP $h 2525')
define(`ESMTP_MAILER_ARGS', `TCP $h 2525')
still i am getting the same error
