I used Google Trends to compare popularity of Linux distributions,window
managers, MTAs ,anti spam softwares,mail suites,programming
languages,database servers and web servers
The results I got were quite surprising e.g.
a) Postfix is fast overtaking sendmail as the leading MTA.Though we all
know sendmail sucks ,it still is packaged a default MTA in many Red Hat
based distros.
b) Microsoft and other commercial products are beaten hands down by
their open source counterparts.
