Will be involved in a team of QA's to test GNU/linux based Server and Desktops. Will be involved in writing test cases, test plans and execute them. 2. Test the functionality of server and log bugs for any inconsistency. This will include stress testing and load testing. Candidate will have to research the tools available and adapt them to our requirements. 3. Provide useful information or contribute to the design/features of the product. 4. Evaluate other competitive products in the market and make comparative analysis. 5. Interact with the technical support team and provide information whenever required. 6. Test the functionality of desktop applications (most of them are GNU/Linux). Expertise/Exposure: Must have handled a large no.of GNU/linux networks. Must be exposed to different network configurations that might be in use for different organizations. Must have the zeal and knack to understand things and locate issues. Knowledge of different servers like DHCP, DNS, Squid, Apache-tomcat, JBoss, CUPS, SAMBA, FTP is a must. Exposure to LVM/RAID and Clustering/Load balancing will be very useful.
