I have also installed the red hat 9 but in that do to motherboard its not
working,
so i installed RHEL 4 which automatically support the multimedia or sound
drives so
i install mplayer and mp3player its working fine.
so my suggestion is that u change the os use RHEL 4 or 5 so u can install
mplayer and
mp3player.
it problem of motherboard not redhat 9 if u change the motherboard also your
problem gets
solved.
